One of the largest mistakes that an Expat in Thailand can make is to think within his or her own cultural standards and mindset. Western culture and Thai culture are quite different.. Make no mistakes here! No one can ask us to change our standards or way of viewing things. Likewise, we cannot ask Thai Nationals to do so. It comes down to simple repect and understanding.
If you want any work it done corectly and to a certain standard, you must find the right people and pay accordingly. The quicker this is understood, the less frustration there will be to face. I say live well and enjoy new firendships in Thailand . Pay for the quality you want and the right people at the very start or it will simple cost you more just to make it right. Trust me, I talk from experience.
Once you hire a designer, be aware of a few warning signs. If your designer says YES to almost everything you ask or request.....Run Quickly! If your designer says he or she can do your project within your budget...without getting all your information and choices of furnuishings and materials first....Run Quickly!
The more time you spend building a trustful relationship with your designer, supplying important information, giving examples of designs you like, photos, mood-boards, sharing concerns, etc....the faster the design should progress once it begins. Information and personlity are key to success!

About Interior Passion's Roots
Our company has been in the Interior Design and Home renovation business since 1997. The company president and project manager (Deli LaBarck) started off as a building and construction apprentice and continued horning his skills all through his teens. He expanded on his knowledge in many areas of property development while living in New Jersey and New York. He went on to develop his skills in the business arena by managing for some larger companies within the states. He then trained in IT and in different aspects of design while living in the States. He developed Interior Passion Co LTD prior to his move to Thailand with his family. The company has shown significant growth since it's inception. Plaa LaBarck (VP of Product Sourcing and Design) studied in architecture and product design in one of Thailand's best universities. Both Deli and Plaa possess over 53 years combined experience in Interior Design and Home Renovation while bringing hard earned business skills and customer service experience to the table.
